No further action against Rosberg for yellow flag incident

The FIA have confirmed Nico Rosberg reduced his speed significantly during his final lap in qualifying which secured him pole position at the Hungaroring and will not be given a penalty.

Rosberg had been summoned to the stewards over an alleged breach of the rules after setting his pole position lap for the Hungarian Grand Prix under yellow flag conditions.

Rosberg snatched pole off Hamilton after the latter was unable to complete his final lap due to double waved yellow flags in the middle sector after Fernando Alonso spun at Turn 9.

The German was called to the stewards for an alleged breach of ”Appendix H. Article 2.4.5.1 b) of the FIA International Sporting Code – failure to slow for yellow flags.”

The 31-year-old will start from pole position ahead of teammate Lewis Hamilton.
