Vettel leads the way in Monaco final practice

Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel led the way in final practice for the Monaco Grand Prix.

After struggling on Thursday with the balance of his Ferrari, Vettel put Ferrari top of the timesheets indicating they will be in the fight for pole position with Red Bull and Mercedes.

Lewis Hamilton was unable to better Vettel’s benchmark after setting purple first and second sector times. He was only 0.018s off the best time of FP3.

Nico Rosberg ended FP3 over a tenth off Vettel’s best time with Daniel Ricciardo and Max Verstappen in close proximity in fourth and fifth position.

Toro Rosso look to be the fourth fastest time in Monaco with Daniil Kvyat setting the sixth fastest time ahead of teammate Carlos Sainz. Sergio Perez, Kimi Raikkonen and Nico Hulkenberg rounded out the top 10.

Williams and McLaren look unlikely to progress into Q3 whilst Sauber and Manor continue to struggle on the streets of Monaco.

Qualifying gets underway at 1300 BST.
