# Iannone continues to dominate in FP3

Andrea Iannone continues to show the power of the Ducati on home soil, with the Italian leading the pack going into this afternoon’s qualifying sessions.

Iannone, who announced that he would be replacing Maverick Vinales at Suzuki next year this week, has dominated the weekend so far, with only Yonny Hernandez able to take first in FP1, mainly down to a damp track.

He was followed by Marc Marquez, who continues to ride the wheels off what is a poor Honda machine. Marquez is obviously getting past the Honda’s acceleration woes, especially on the home straight.

Maverick Vinales was third, with Yonny Hernandez continuing the form shown in FP1 by finishing fourth. Hernandez has been unlucky seemingly all year now, so this performance will do his confidence a load of good.

Jorge Lorenzo was fifth, with Danilo Petrucci performing well on home soil finishing sixth. Bradley Smith managed to get into the top ten with a good seventh-placed finish for the Tech 3 rider.

Rossi was eighth, which will disappoint the fan favourite, especially after recent races where he has been able to finally sort out his qualifying position. Dani Pedrosa and wildcard Michelle Pirro rounded out the top ten.

Q1 will see many talented riders fight it out for the final two spots in Q2. Cal Crutchlow, Andrea Dovizioso, Scott Redding and both Espargaro brothers failed to make it through, making Q1 a very interesting affair.
