Romain Grosjean enjoyed his fights during the Bahrain Grand Prix, scoring points again for Haas F1.
Grosjean was battling with other cars throughout the race, and finished in a brilliant fifth position overall in only his teams second race.
Speaking to Channel 4 after the race, Grosjean said that the results have been crazy so far, but that the team need to stay grounded. “It’s crazy. We have to keep our feet on earth. It was just a perfect race.
“I had a great start, moved to the right hand side, then I got blocked by two cars touching each other in front. It was crazy to overtake the Williams cars and fighting with the Toro Rossos at the end of the race. It was good fun to be fighting.”
The Frenchman finished in sixth during the first race of the season. The two points scoring finishes puts him joint fourth in the drivers championship with Ferrari’s Kimi Raikkonen.
“It’s a magnificent story,” he carries on to say. “It’s going to be hard to keep as high as we are now, but we are going to try a new front wing.”
While Grosjean has been doing well, his teammate Esteban Gutierrez has retired from both races. Still, Haas F1 have shown that they are able to fight for the points scoring positions straight away, but they will have work to do if they want to keep up.
