# Abt on top in second Long Beach practice

ABT Schaeffler Audi Sport’s Daniel Abt set the pace in second practice ahead of qualifying at Long Beach.

The German ended second practice just a tenth clear of Renault e.Dams’ Sebastien Buemi.

Abt’s teammate and championship contender Lucas di Grassi was third fastest and will be hoping to get his championship aspirations back on track after his disqualification last time out.

Robin Frijns will be encouraged with 5th, just three-tenths off the pace set by Abt. Sam Bird was sixth for DS Virgin after being second quickest in first practice whilst Nico Prost, Bruno Senna, Stephane Sarrazin and Jerome d’Ambrosio rounded out the top 10.

The tricky Long Beach circuit caught several drivers out at turn one, including Robin Frijns who locked up heavily as did Salvador Duran in the Aguri.

Qualifying at Long Beach gets underway at 2000 BST.
