LCR Honda reveals 2016 livery

LCR Honda Racing Team revealed their new 2016 livery at day one of testing at the Losail International Circuit in Qatar.

The Honda will be ridden again this season by British rider Cal Crutchlow who finished 8th in the 2015 MotoGP Championship with LCR.

Crutchlow finished 8th in testing at the end of the seven-hour session on day one with a time of 1:56.520. He was the fastest Honda rider on the day with the two Repsol Honda riders ending the opening day in 10th and 13th behind him. Crutchlow completed 36 laps with the new engine on a hard rear tyre.

“Today was a bit of a ‘getting-to-know-you’ session with the new engine. Everything else on the bike is completely as it was, but we were glad to receive the new engine from Honda. I used the hard tyre all day, and I felt good – I did my fastest lap after 22 laps with the hard rear tyre. So this is quite satisfying because we know we can do a good job, and I feel very comfortable at the moment to be able to go fast when we need. Tomorrow we’re looking forward to trying some more things with the front of the bike because at the moment the limit is the front tyre.”
