The year of ‘evolution’ for Suzuki

Moto GP’s Suzuki Ecstar Team have launched their 2016 campaign after releasing a video (below). This will be the second season since the return of the Suzuki in the top class which will be ridden by Spanish riders Aleix Espagaro and Maverick Viñales who have both made a promising start in testing.

Team boss Davide Brivio has described this season as ‘The Year of Evolution!’’ He feels strong progress has been made so far and that they are always evolving, improving and developing.

The 1000cc GSX-RR is four stroke, four cylinders water-cooled engine is still running the ‘Cassette’ type six-speed gearbox and is reaching speeds of over 330km/h (205mph) with a power output of over 176kw. It has a twin spar aluminium frame with ohlins suspension.

The Suzuki Ecstar Team are going into the 2016 season with a fighting spirit with their aim to finish on the podium. Viñales already managed to set the fastest time in Phillip Island and both riders feel they are back in the fight for the championship.
