Manor unveils 2016 challenger in Barcelona

Manor Racing’s MRT05 was revealed the first time as it left to start its pre-season testing running.

The Mercedes-powered Manor has adopted a largely blue and red colour scheme, slightly different to last season’s car with its red and white livery, and has a longer front nose than most of the other teams cars.

Manor’s press release on their Facebook page earlier today described the car as a ‘dream racer’.

Technical director John McQuilliam is optimistic about Manor’s hopes this year after failing to score any points during 2015.

“Even at this early stage of the game, we can easily say this is the best car we’ve ever launched… The overall package is a very significant step forward, not just from last year, but from any of the cars from our stable.”

Manor Racing’s new racing director, Dave Ryan, has promised a much more competitive season for Manor in 2016 than their 2015 season.

“I first agreed to join the team – a great little operation, with huge potential and the vision and ambition to make a big step forward.”

“We have a fantastic technical partnership with Mercedes-Benz and Williams Advanced Engineering and now it’s up to us to deliver.”
