Antonio Felix da Costa thinks he was having a strong race in Buenos Aires until he started to have software issues in his Team Aguri car.
The Portuguese driver qualified third for the race, missing out on a front row start by one hundredth of a second over Renault’s Nico Prost. He stayed with the leader for the first half of the race.
“I was having a really strong race, running second and challenging for the lead,” Da Costa said after the race. “With half a lap to go until our scheduled pitstop the car broke down with a software issue.”
This isn’t the first time that Da Costa has been let down by his car. He also retired at the first race of the Formula E season in Beijing.
“Sadly this is the second time we have been in a position to claim a podium and have come away without one, but the team is improving massively.”
The Team Aguri driver finished in sixth position at both the Putrajaya ePrix and the Punta Del Este ePrix. He will hope that reliability will be better in five weeks time.
