# Yamaha unveils 2016 MotoGP bike

After winning the triple crown in 2015, Yamaha are the first team to unveil their new bike for the upcoming season.

2015 MotoGP champion Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi were reunited on stage as they unveiled their new bike for the upcoming season.

Yamaha managing director Lin Jarvis has said the team’s aim is to secure a sixth constructors’ championship in 2016.

“We have a lot of expectation, we plan to go and do exactly the same thing again,” Jarvis said during the launch event in Barcelona.

“We really want to achieve that sixth triple crown.

“We know that this year there will be a couple of significant changes with regulations and the tyre supply. For every motorcycle manufacturer that is a major adjustment.

“It’s going to be tough but it’s going to be super interesting, we are excited to start.”
