# Rossi adds Yamaha MotoGP merchandise to stable

Nine-time world champion Valentino Rossi continues to plot for life after he retires from racing and his merchandising company, VR46 Racing Apparel has just signed a contract with his now team to supply their fan products.

Rossi’s company already produces T-shirts and other racing paraphernalia for rivals Marc Marquez, Cal Crutchlow, Scott Redding and Dani Pedrosa, and the three-year deal means VR46 Racing Apparel will now become the manufacturer of official Yamaha merchandise.

The deal makes sense for both parties as Rossi’s company, which is based in his home town of Talluvia, already has the production facilities and the distribution network in place to maximise income for Yamaha, while it will significantly increase turnover for VR46 Racing Apparel too.

The move allows Yamaha to focus its efforts on racing while tapping into the extremely lucrative fan market, and 36-year-old Rossi is expected to play a role in the design of the Factory team’s merchandise and accessories.
