# ePrix Preview: Putrajaya

Round Two of the FIA Formula E championship heads to Putrajaya in Malaysia. Two weeks on from the dramatic season opener in Beijing, Formula E remains in Eastern Asia to tackle the streets of Putrajaya.

Renault e.Dams’ Sebastien Buemi dominated the season opener of season two of the Formula E championship in Beijing. The Swiss driver dominated to become the first driver to achieve the ‘grand slam’ of taking the race win, pole position and race fastest lap, bringing him a total of 30 points, the maximum possible in one weekend. ABT Schaeffler Audi Sport’s Lucas di Grassi came home second with Mahindra Racing’s Nick Heidfeld rounding out the podium.

Dragon Racing enjoyed a strong outing in Beijing, Loic Duval and Jerome D’Ambrosio finishing fourth and fifth. NEXTEV’s Oliver Turvey benefitted from a mid-race safety car to finish sixth ahead of Sam Bird, Nathanaël Berthon, Stephan Sarrazin and Robin Frijns. Reigning champion Nelson Piquet finished 15th, in a disappointing weekend for the Brazilian.

This year’s edition of the Putrajaya ePrix will no doubt be another exciting affair. Trulli have already announced they will not be able to take part in Saturday’s race due to failing to pass scrutineering. Renault e.Dams will be the team to beat in Malaysia after dominating in Beijing. Lucas di Grassi’s ABT seems to be Renault e.Dams’ nearest challenger going into the weekend.
