Hulkenberg happy with wet weather pace

Force India driver Nico Hulkenberg says he was happy with his pace in wet conditions.

Despite the postponement of qualifying, FP3 went ahead as scheduled where all of the teams set times. Hulkenberg ended up third fastest, behind Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel.

FP3 was a crucial session for everyone as if qualifying is unable to go ahead later today, the FIA will use the FP3 results to determine grid positions.

“Tomorrow will be a busy day, but I’ve done qualifying on a Sunday before a few years ago. It may still be raining in the morning, but we looked quite competitive on the wet tyres so I feel ready whatever the weather gives us tomorrow.”

Hulkenberg is renowned for his wet weather pace with notable performance in the 2010 Brazilian Grand Prix qualifying where he took pole position and in 2012 at Brazil, where he was fighting Lewis Hamilton for the lead of the race before colliding with the Brit.
