Daniel Ricciardo has praised the Circuit of the Americas and has labelled it as ‘the best overtaking circuit on the calendar’.
The Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas is a favourite among the drivers. It combines parts of Silverstone and Istanbul Park to make a fantastic, high-speed circuit.
Ricciardo, who finished third in last year’s United States Grand Prix, is a big fan of the COTA and is looking forward to racing in America next week.
“For a modern-day circuit with lots of runoff, they’ve done the best job possible. They’ve created a track that’s safe but managed to ensure it’s still fun. It’s probably the best overtaking circuit on the calendar.”
The Australian says he loves everything about going to Austin and is hoping to achieve a strong result.
“Everything! I love Austin. Great track, great city, great food, great fans, great people in general, great hotel. Basically… great.”
