Manor driver Will Stevens is already looking to next weekend’s Japanese Grand Prix after a poor Singapore Grand Prix.
The Brit finished down in 15th behind his new rookie teammate Alexander Rossi.
Stevens hailed his start as the “best race start of the season” but made a mistake which lost him a position.
The 24-year-old blamed his lack of pace compared to his team-mate on rear tyre degradation.
“The safety car helped out, and I tried my best whenever I was close enough, but there was too much tyre degradation on the rears towards the end.”
Stevens will be hoping he can get in front of his new team-mate at next weekend’s Japanese Grand Prix. He currently sits 20th in the drivers standings still behind his old team-mate Roberto Merhi who is set to return for the Russian and Abu Dhabi Grands Prix
“Hopefully the next time out at Suzuka will be a more typical race for me.”
