Romain Grosjean says he is aiming for another podium at next week’s Italian Grand Prix at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza.
Grosjean scored his first podium of the season and his first since the 2013 United States Grand Prix last time out at Spa-Francorchamps.
The Frenchman is hoping to continue the good form shown at Spa and expects Lotus to be competitive at Monza.
”On paper, Monza should suit our car better than Spa so in theory a podium could be possible again! Of course, we don’t know how our performance relative to our rivals will stack up until we get there, but I’m certainly going out for the strongest result possible, as I always do. ”
Grosjean’s best result at Monza was in 2013, where he finished eighth.
Monza requires a high top-speed, which Lotus have thanks to the Mercedes power unit hence why Grosjean believes they will be competitive.
”You need your car to be as slippery as possible and quick in a straight line, and in that regard we’ve looked pretty strong so far in 2015.”
