A number of modifications have been made to the Marina Bay street circuit which hosts the Singapore Grand Prix.
In a bid to improve overtaking opportunities, a number of changes have been made between Turns 11 to 13. The changes have been approved by the FIA as part of enhancements to the new Civic District.
Turn 11 has now been tightened to produce a lower apex speed. The left-hand Turn 12 will be slightly modified which will see drivers enter the left of Anderson Bridge. At the Turn 13 hairpin, it will be widened by one metre.
“I expect the modifications from turns 11 to 13 will enable closer racing and the potential for additional passing opportunities,” said Jonathan Giesecke of Faithful+Gould, who is in charge of the alterations.
