Nico Rosberg has won the 2015 Monaco Grand Prix ahead of Sebastian Vettel and Lewis Hamilton.
It was a fortunate third win in Monaco for Rosberg, who looked set to finish second however a late safety car allowed him to take victory.
Daniil Kvyat enjoyed his best career result and Red Bull’s best of 2015 by finishing in fourth ahead of Ricciardo and Raikkonen.
Hamilton maintained his lead at the start of the Grand Prix from Rosberg and Vettel. Kvyat got ahead of Ricciardo whilst Perez remained in seventh behind Raikkonen.
Fernando Alonso attempted a pass on Hulkenberg into Mirabeau which resulted in the German being pushed into the barrier. Alonso was awarded a five-second penalty for causing an unavoidable collision.
After a good start on the opening lap, Felipe Massa was forced to pit after colliding with Nico Hulkenberg at Saint Devote.
Ten laps later, Pastor Maldonado was forced to retire due to a brake-by-wire problem.
Majority of the teams opted for a one-stop strategy which was ultimately quicker with track position being crucial.
Kvyat was the first of the one-stoppers to pit from fourth place on lap 30 whilst the leaders pitted on lap 37 and lap 38.
Alonso was enjoying a strong outing, despite his penalty however was forced to retire on lap 43 due to another mechanical issue.
Max Verstappen collided with Romain Grosjean which resulted in a safety car being deployed.
Lewis Hamilton pitted under the SC whilst Rosberg and Vettel stayed out which allowed the two German’s to get ahead of Hamilton.
Hamilton was unable to Vettel for second whilst Ricciardo passed Raikkonen and Kvyat within two laps.
Ricciardo handed the place back to Kvyat on the line.
Sergio Perez scored his best result in seventh whilst Button scored McLaren’s first points in eighth. Nasr finished ninth after a poor qualifying and Sainz Jr rounding out the top ten.
Williams had an abysmal weekend with Bottas finishing 15th and Massa 16th.
