# Bottas fastest on final day of testing

[![_79P6775](https://www.formulaupdate.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/79P6775-300x200.jpg)](https://www.formulaupdate.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/79P6775.jpg)Valtteri Bottas set the pace for Williams on the final day of testing before the start of the 2015 season which begins in under two weeks time.

On the super-soft tyres, Bottas was four tenths clear of Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel, who also set his best time on the super-soft tyre. The Finn completed 89 laps in the FW37.

Felipe Nasr was third fastest and completed 159 laps in total. The Brazilian was one second slower than Bottas’ benchmark.

Fourth fastest was Max Verstappen, who stopped on track due to an engine problem, causing a red flag, completed 85 laps

Daniel Ricciardo was fifth fastest for Red Bull. The Australian also caused a red flag after his car came to a halt after leaving the pits early in the day.

Pastor Maldonado crashed his Lotus at turn four, meaning he could only complete 36 laps in the E23. Lotus later confirmed a brake failure caused Maldonado’s collision and he was not to blame.

It was another good day for Force India. Sergio Perez completed 130 laps in the VJM08.
