The final day of testing at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi saw teams complete their respective programmes and test the new 2015-spec Pirelli tyres.

Today’s driver line-up: Wehrlein (Mercedes), Ricciardo (Red Bull), Marciello (Ferrari), Vandoorne (McLaren), Nasr (Williams), Ocon (Lotus), Goddard (Force India), Ericsson (Sauber), Verstappen (Toro Rosso) and Stevens (Caterham).

McLaren-Honda’s problems continued from the first day as Eric Bouiller stated they suffered an ”electrical” problem which kept the McLaren in the garage for majority of the session. The morning session was uneventful with Pascal Wehrlein setting the fastest time for Mercedes ahead of Max Verstappen.

Esteban Ocon was sixth fastest for Lotus as he hands over the E22 to GP3 champion Alex Lynn for the Afternoon session. On his Formula One debut, Spike Goddard rounded off the times for Force India, 4.1 seconds off the pace of Wehrlein.

Running in Abu Dhabi was interrupted on two occasions in the afternoon as Max Verstappen was forced to stop due to a power unit issue whilst Daniel Ricciardo stopped on track due to an exhaust problem.

McLaren managed to send Vandoorne back out with ninety minutes of the session remaining however this was short-lived as he was forced to stop out on track once again.

A late lap from Wehrlein saw him extend his advantage over the rest of the field to top the day with a 1:42.624, completing 96 laps in the process. Max Verstappen was third fastest behind Marciello for Ferrari who completed 76 laps.

Marcus Ericsson completed the greatest numbers of laps, circulating 112 times. Will Stevens was an impressive fifth for Caterham ahead of Goddard, Ricciardo and Felipe Nasr.
