It has been announced that reigning Formula One world champion Sebastian Vettel, will leave Red Bull at the end of this season and is expected to join Ferrari in 2015. The German has been with the Red Bull team since 2009 and has won all four of his world championships with the team.
It has been rumoured that Vettel and Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso could be linked in a direct team swap, but Red Bull confirmed that Russia’s Daniil Kvyat will take the place of Vettel, alongside Daniel Ricciardo in the team.
Rumours are that Fernando Alonso will leave Ferrari and go to McLaren, although nothing has been confirmed. Ferrari have also not confirmed that Vettel will be driving for them in 2015, but all the signs point towards him doing so.
With Alonso in tight talks with McLaren, many believe Jenson Button to be replaced, leaving the Brit without a drive for 2015. Alonso will line-up alongside young Dane Kevin Magnussen if everything comes off.
