Possible Shake Up in 2015?

Adam Parr, the former CEO of the Williams F1 team sent out a tweet today following the race at Monza. Now this could just be speculation, or could there be a bit of truth towards in it?

2014_f1_australian_f1_gp_melbourne_10-0317With plenty of the smaller teams struggling with growing costs associated with the sport (Marussia and Sauber especially) this could actually be of serious concern to Bernie Ecclestone who is widely believed to be in favour of three car teams.

If the smaller teams end up leaving the sport this year, it would mean that there will be a smaller grid in comparison to seasons gone by. So if the bigger teams run three cars it would fill up the grid and would mean that some reserve drivers would get a shot at running a full race weekend.

But should this be where the sport should be heading? I think without the smaller teams such as Caterham and Marussia we may not get fresh talent into the sport, as the larger teams would surely pick bigger names to be in their driver line-up, and if money was a issue would teams be willing to risk picking a less experienced driver over a experienced driver who is going to pick up points race by race.

At this moment of course, it is just rumour but I’m sure there will be some light shed on this subject once we get to the Singapore GP.
