Mexico’s Esteban Gutierrez has said that he is in talks with not only current team, Sauber, but also rival teams over a drive for the 2015 season.
Making his Formula 1 debut in 2013, Gutierrez has never set the world of F1 alight. Compared to fellow Mexican and former Sauber driver Sergio Perez, who secured several podiums for the Swiss team.
In his 30 race career, Gutierrez has only sealed one top ten finish.
However, the youngster is confident of his chances for a drive next season.
“We have opened talks with Sauber, [we] have opened discussions with other teams, we are in a time of assessment to see what direction we want to take,” GPUpdate.net quotes Gutierrez as having said.
“In the next two months we have to make a decision and right now we’re evaluating all the possibilities we have open.
“Sauber is happy with me and wants to continue.”
