Newey, had been linked to Ferrari F1 team in recent weeks, with the Italian team undergoing what seems a radical change in it’s structure in a bid to return to the sharp end of the grid.

“Adrian will work on new Red Bull Technology projects, as well as advising and mentoring Infiniti Red Bull Racing as it develops its Formula 1 cars over the next few seasons,” read a statement issued by Redbull F1 team.

For now we can but speculate what the new projects will en-tale, the only comment from Redbull on this was “(future projects) will be announced in due course.”
