The third Formula 1 race on the streets of Baku provided more drama as Lewis Hamilton claimed his first victory of the 2018 season after the Red Bulls of Daniel Ricciardo and Max Verstappen came together.
Victory seemed to be out of the question for Hamilton as he struggled with his tyres in the middle part of the race, but he was able to overcome the issue and take advantage of problems for those around him.
Valtteri Bottas narrowly missed out on the win after a puncture late in the race and a lock up for long-time race leader Sebastian Vettel dropped him down the order.
Further down the pitlane there was joy as Sergio Perez claimed Force India’s first podium since Baku two years ago, and Sauber’s Charles Leclerc scored the first points of his F1 career.
