Aitken given maiden Formula 1 test
Renault academy driver Jack Aitken is receiving his first test with the manufacturer following the Singapore Grand Prix weekend.
Aitken will join Robert Kubica and Sergey Sirotkin in having laps with the 2012 E20 chassis in 2017 at Jerez.
Kubica took part in a session with the same car at the Paul Ricard circuit earlier this year after both drivers drove at Valencia in June.
Happy to announce I'll be testing the Renault F1 E20 this week, thanks @RenaultSportF1! ? Good thing this one hasn't been Jack-proofed yet ? pic.twitter.com/zvdqoY8eBR

This is Aitken’s most high-profile opportunity with Renault since joining its academy in early 2016. He is currently the most senior racer involved in its junior setup.
It will be his first experience of the Spanish track since appearing in Formula V8 3.5 last season ahead of the penultimate round of the GP3 season at the circuit.
The 21-year-old is currently fighting for the series title, placing second in the standings, 43 points behind Mercedes-backed ART team-mate George Russell.
