Marc Marquez continued to show pace at the Red Bull ring, taking pole position for tomorrow’s Austrian GP.

The Honda rider stormed to pole, showing pace that the rest of the field struggled to match. Marquez had to slow down multiple times to get rid of chasing riders, trying to get vital time by following the multiple world champion.

Marquez will be joined on the front row by the Ducati pairing of Andrea Dovizioso and Jorge Lorenzo. Both Ducati riders showed the pace the bike has at the Red Bull ring, especially after their domination in Austria last year.

Maverick Vinales heads up the second row, ahead of Danilo Petrucci and Johann Zarco. Petrucci made it through from Q1, with his teammate Scott Redding just missing out.

Valentino Rossi and Dani Pedrosa will be on the third row. Cal Crutchlow will join the two veterans, starting from ninth.

Andrea Iannone will start from tenth, heading the fourth row. The Italian will be joined by Karel Abraham and Loris Baz, both putting in good rides.

The MotoGP race from the Red Bull ring will get underway at 13:00 BST.
