Redding hopes to repeat qualifying performance in race
Scott Redding hopes to replicate his performance in qualifying in tomorrow’s Dutch GP at the Assen TT Circuit.
After falling in FP4 (and showing off his dance moves) Redding went out in challenging conditions for Q2. He was able to tuck in behind Valentino Rossi and pole sitter Andrea Dovizioso and gain his first ever front row start in the premier class.
Redding was delighted with how the session went. He also praised his team for the hard work and determination shown through what has been a difficult time for the Briton.
“I am very satisfied with this result. We’ve had very bad luck so far in the season but we did well to never give up.
The sensations were good during the weekend in dry conditions. Today we did the maximum, thanks to my team’s strategy. Also I am very happy for this: the guys are working hard for me every day and this is a small satisfaction that I am happy to have given them”.
Redding also hopes that he will be able to repeat his form shown in qualifying in tomorrow’s race. With challenging conditions again expected, his Ducati Desmosedici GP15 might be able to perform yet again.
“I really hope to repeat this result tomorrow.”
