Toro Rosso have confirmed via Twitter that they have passed the mandatory FIA crash tests on their new car, the STR11.
Like other teams such as Haas and Manor, the team let their fans know of the outcome over the social media platform, stating:
Twitter: Kaboom… Bang… Pow…!
Mission accomplished! The #STR11 has successfully passed all the crash tests!

The STR11 had found itself in-between the compromise between its sister team Red Bull and Renault over the supply of power units for this year. Therefore, they will race with 2015 Ferrari power units this season having raced with Renault power for the first two years of the hybrid era.
However, this situation shouldn’t stop their young drivers Max Verstappen and Carlos Sainz Jr. from showing some of the skills and astounding overtaking moves that could be pulled off last season.
Also, with Verstappen having claimed at one point last year that the team had the ‘second-best chassis in Formula One’, fans may look towards the team having the strength in the chassis to negate any steps forward Ferrari or any other team make with their power unit in the 2016 season.
The team are yet to announce their plans for pre-season testing, with the first of the pre-season tests scheduled for 22-25 February at the Circuit de Barcelona.
